Colombia: Visit to the Formation Houses of the Custody

On March 6-10, 2023, the Vice-Secretary General for Formation, Friar Maximilianus SEMBIRING, attended a meeting of the formators of the Federación América Latina Conventuales (FALC) in Bogotà, Colombia. After the meeting, Friar Maximilianus stayed on in order to visit the formation houses belonging to the Provincial Custody of St. Francis of Assisi in Colombia.

The purpose of his visit was to talk with the young men in formation and their formators, and then give a presentation about formation meetings and vocation animation.
On March 10-15, Friar Maximilianus visited the San Antonio de Padua Friary and Post Novitiate House in Bogotá. On the morning of March 15, he spoke to the five clerical students there about Franciscan formation from the perspective of the newly revised Franciscan Discipleship document.
On March 16-18, he visited the postulancy house in Bogotá. On the morning of March 17, he conducted a formation meeting with the five postulants there.
Finally, on March 18-21, he visited the San Maximiliano M. Kolbe FALC Common Novitiate in Itagüí, Colombia. On the morning of March 20, he met with the ten novices there and spoke about formation, again from the perspective of the newly revised Franciscan Discipleship document.
