On June 13, 2023, the Feast of St. Anthony of Padua, Friar Bernard M. ANUTA, a member of the Provincial Custody of the Immaculate Conception and Bl. Bonaventure of Potenza in the Philippines, was ordained to the priesthood.

Friar Bernard ANUTA was born in Inabanga, Province of Bohol, Philippines, on March 26, 1993. He entered the postulancy program on June 14, 2010, and began his novitiate year on March 18, 2012, taking the name Friar Bernard. He made his first profession on March 19, 2013. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Philosophy from the Rogationist Seminary College in March of 2017. He made his solemn profession on July 14, 2018. He finished his theological studies at the Don Bosco School of Theology in April of 2022, and was ordained to the diaconate on June 13, 2022.
He was ordained to the priesthood through the imposition of the hands of the Most Reverend Patrick Daniel Y. PARCON, Bishop of Talibon, Philippines. The ordination took place at the Parish Church of St. Paul the Apostle in Inabanga, Friar Bernard’s hometown. The Provincial Custos, Friar Emmanuel GIVA, and other friars from various communities attended the event. Parishioners and lay collaborators from the San Agustin, San Francisco ng Assisi and St. Maximilian Mary Kolbe Parish Churches also participated. Friar Bernard is presently the Custodial Econom and is assigned to the San Augustin Friary in Parañaque City.
