On Saturday, December 12, 2020, the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the Provincial Custody of Mary, Mother of Mercy in Central America had the joy of celebrating the solemn profession of Friar Miguel Argelio BUSTILLOS PADILLA.
Friar Isidoro de Jesús MEJÍA HERNÁNDEZ received the vows of Friar Miguel on behalf of the Provincial Custos. The ceremony took place at at the Church of San Maximiliano María Kolbe in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. The church is under the care of our friars from the local San José de Cupertino Friary. During the celebration, Friar Miguel experienced the joy of consecrating himself definitively to the Lord, in the presence of his confreres, family and friends.
Friar Miguel comes from the Church of Santa Ana, in the town of Guayape, Olancho, Honduras. He is currently a member of the family at the Friary of San José de Cupertino and does pastoral ministry at the Church of San Maximiliano María Kolbe.
In the midst of all the difficulties facing the Honduran people, the solemn profession of this confrere was a gift from God and a ray of hope for the friars of the Custody and for the people of God in Honduras.
