On January 13, 2020, the dean friar of our Order turned 100.

Friar Ilario MORATTI is a member of the Italian Province of St. Anthony of Padua (Northern Italy). He was born on January 13, 1920, in Tuenno (Province of Trento) Italy. He made his temporary profession on September 8, 1938, his solemn profession on the feast day of St. Francis of Assisi, in 1942, and was ordained to the priesthood on June 3, 1944.
He was esteemed by the friars of his Province for his capable teaching of Greek and Latin in our seminaries; and for his obedience, that is, his willingness to be moved to other communities according to the orders of the various Ministers Provincial who led him.
Because of age and illness, his most recent obedience called him to our home for the elderly in Pedavena, Italy. Nevertheless, he remains at peace and as willing as ever to do what the Lord wants.
May God our Father guide our confrere, and the whole Order, along the path of His infinite mercy.
