On February 14, 2020, the Minister General, Friar Carlos TROVARELLI, having obtained the favorable opinion of his Definitory, appointed Friar Silvestru BEJAN as the new Editor of Commentarium Ordinis.

Friar Silvestru comes from the Province of St. Joseph, Spouse of the B.V.M. in Romania. He will execute this work following the indications of the General Definitory and will have the collaboration of the General Secretariat and the General Office of Communications. Friar Silvestru is a member of the community of the Twelve Holy Apostles in Rome and previously was living at the Sacred Convent in the General Custody of Assisi, where he held the office of General Delegate for Ecumenism and Interreligious Dialogue.
Friar Silvestru succeeds Friar Robert LEŻOHUPSKI from the Province of St. Maximilian M. Kolbe in Poland (Gdańsk) who now serves as the Guardian of the Friary of St. Anthony at the Baths [“Vigna”] in Rome. Among other things, Friar Robert continues to serve as a judge of the Ecclesiastical Tribunal of the Vicariate of Vatican City. He is an official of the Apostolic Penitentiary and teaches Canon Law.
The Minister General and his Definitory thank Friar Robert for the work he has done for Commentarium Ordinis and they thank Friar Silvestru for his willingness to accept this new obedience.
