On September 23-25, 2019, the Guardians, formators and Directors of the Provincial works of the Province of St. Anthony and of Bl. James of Strepar in Poland (Cracow) held a meeting at the St. Maximilian Kolbe Center in Harmęże, Poland.

The event was attended by friars from Poland, Germany, the Ukraine and Slovakia. The meeting summarized and evaluated the last four-year term. The friars did important work, meeting in five small discussion groups, each headed by a Definitor. The friars shared their observations and opinions about the Province with regard to a number of important areas: the spiritual life of the friars and the communities, ministry and finances. The work done in groups will help the Minister Provincial prepare his report and provide discussion material for the next Ordinary Provincial Chapter.
Two Conventual Franciscan jurists were invited to the meeting. One, Friar Zbigniew KOPEĆ, discussed mutual relations between the House Chapter, the Guardian and the Pastor, according to the revised General Statutes and Constitutions. The other, Friar Przemysław MICHOWICZ, presented plans to adapt the Provincial Statutes to the Constitutions.
The Minister Provincial, Friar Marian GOŁĄB, announced the preparation of the Instrumentum laboris in order facilitate the drafting of the Provincial Statutes. The entire Province must be involved in this work and the final document will be approved at the upcoming Extraordinary Provincial Chapter.
