On behalf of the Conference of Major Superiors of Poland, the Commission for Missions and Contacts with the Polish Diaspora has been conducting meetings for the last several years. Thus, on April 25-27, 2023, it convened a meeting of the Secretaries for the Missions of the forty-nine religious institutes in Poland.

Nineteen Secretaries for Missions met at the African Missions Center in Borzęcin Duży, Poland, where they got to know each other better and present the specifics of their missionary activities. Also present were representatives from various organizations such as the Pontifical Mission Societies in Poland, the Center for Missionary Formation at the Polish Episcopal Conference, the Miva Polska Institute, the Opera Ad Gentes Institute and the editorial staff of the Misyjne.pl website. The representatives offered proposals for cooperation and explained the rules for submitting grant applications. In turn, a representative from the editorial staff of Missionary Magazine explained some specific aspects about the Media, while encouraging everyone to work together to promote Catholic missions around the world. Based on this meeting, it was possible to present and develop various means of cooperation between the individual institutions. This collaboration will have tangible benefits for all parties involved.
A proposal for a spiritual formation program for missionaries on sabbatical and a course on culture and integration for foreign brothers serving in Poland, were presented and submitted for approval by the Conference of Major Superiors.
Friar Robert KOZIELSKI, the Provincial Secretary for the Missions for the Province of St. Maximilian M. Kolbe in Poland (Gdańsk) also attended. Friar Robert is a member of the National Missionary Council to the Polish Episcopate and President of the Franciscan Missionary Council which is affiliated with ten Provinces belonging to the Friars Minor, Friars Minor Capuchin and Friars Minor Conventual.
