On October 5-7, 2020, the Provincial Custody of St. Maximilian M. Kolbe in Tanzania conducted a fraternal gathering for its friars.

The event gave the friars some time to spend together, to share and exchange ideas on our way of life. Bearing in mind that the first gathering scheduled for this year could not take place due to Covid-19, this gathering was a good opportunity for the friars to be together again.
This year’s gathering was graced by the presence of Friar Anthony BEZO, the Assistant General for the AFCOF Federation. Friar Anthony shared the Order’s Six-Year Plan with us and the friars spent some time digesting the material and reflecting upon it by asking questions and making other positive contributions.
We thank God for bringing us together us a Custody under one roof after the threat posed by Covid-19. The friars from all four friaries of the Custody were able to participate in this gathering, which also served as an ongoing formation event.
May our patron, St. Maximilian Maria Kolbe, intercede for us.

Friar Benson MAPUNDA, Custodial Secretary
