Friar Anthony RUFFOLO of St. Bonaventure Province (Chicago, USA) professed temporary vows at the National Shrine of St. Maximilian Kolbe (“Marytown”) on July 15, 2021, the patronal feast of St. Bonaventure Province.
Most of the friars of the Province were in attendance, as well as a number of Friar Anthony’s family and friends. Friar Anthony will soon be heading to the CFF inter-provincial house of formation in San Antonio, Texas to begin his studies for the priesthood.
Earlier that day, Friary Wayne HELLMANN (Minister Provincial of Our Lady of Consolation Province) had given the friars of St. Bonaventure Province a presentation on Pope Francis’ encyclicals Laudato Si’ and Fratelli Tutti, and how those documents corresponded to the “Visions and Values” articulated in St. Bonaventure Province’s continuing strategic planning process approved during a recent Province Assembly.
