It has become a tradition for the Definitors of the Province of St. Elizabeth in Germany and the Provincial Custody of St. Leopold and St. Nicolas of Flüe in Austria-Switzerland to conduct an annual joint meeting. This year, the meeting was held on November 16-18, 2022, at the friary in Friborg, Switzerland.

In addition to discussing some common topics, the situation with the friary in Flüeli, Switzerland was at the top of the agenda. Since the Guardian went back to his home Province of origin, the friars have been awaiting a new leader for the friary. Moreover, a large part of the friary is empty and there has not been a new tenant for some time.
The Definitors also dealt with the reorganization of the Centralis Europae Foederatio. In fact, the future of the CEF Federation has been discussed for some time.
The meeting was also an occasion to get acquainted with the friary in Friborg. The friars were given a detailed guided tour of the building, which included, among other things, a visit to the underground library.
The fraternal bonds of the friars were further strengthened by an excursion to Pringy, Switzerland, where the famous “Le Gruyère” cheese is produced. One truly joyous moment came when the friars took part in Fribourg’s Swiss Fondue Festival. There, they were able to taste a great variety of cheeses used in fondue, Switzerland’s national dish.
