On February 16-18 and 23-25, 2024, a Lenten retreat for members of the Militia of the Immaculata (M.I.) was conducted in two rounds at the friary in Niepokalanów Lasek, Poland, a presence of the Province of the Immaculate Mother of God in Poland (Warsaw).

The theme of the retreat was: “Gietrzwałd as the Salvation of Poland.” The retreat was led by Friar Krzysztof M. FLIS, the M.I. Provincial Assistant. There were around 150 participants.
The most important moments of each day were Mass and adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. Each day began and ended with the Liturgy of the Hours.
The participants listened to meditations about the apparition of Our Lady in Gietrzwałd, who offered three suggestions. The first was to pray the Rosary daily with fervor. The second was to do penance for the sin of drunkenness. The third was to do penance for the sins of impurity. Other issues related to the main theme were also addressed, such as venial and mortal sin, the need for conversion and the meaning of the name “Immaculate Conception.”
On the last day, there was time for personal testimony, where everyone could share their experiences.
At the end of each round, the participants had an opportunity to join the M.I. or renew their consecration to Our Lady.
