On March 18, 2018, Friar Joseph Kwame BLAY, the Delegate General for Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation (GPIC) visited the formation house of Sant’Antonio Dottore, in Padua, Italy.

This international house of formation has twenty-four student-friars from seven different countries: One friar is from Indonesia; one from Hungary; one from Malta; two from Ghana; three from France; three from Romania, and thirteen from Italy. Of the Italians, one is from Province of St. Nicholas and St. Angelo in Italy (Puglia) and other twelve are from the Italian Province of St. Anthony of Padua (Northern Italy).
There are four formators on the formation team: Friars Antonio RAMINA, Rector; Friar Alessandro ZOTTAREL Vice-Rector; Friar Mario CHESI spiritual director; and Friar Longinus JUDUNG, who is preparing to become a formator in Indonesia.
On the evening of the same day, Friar Joseph BLAY held a meeting and talked about performing GPIC service at the general level of our Order. The meeting’s goal was to help students learn about the problems, tensions and expectations that can arise when working in the GPIC field. GPIC is a dimension of our Franciscan charism.
