On September 17, 2023, the Feast of the Stigmata of St. Francis of Assisi, Friar Krzysztof ZAJĄC of the Province of St. Anthony and Bl. James of Strepar in Poland (Cracow) professed his temporary vows. The event took place at the shrine-basilica in the village of Kalwaria Pacławska, Poland.

Friar Krzysztof had been preparing for this day for two years: he underwent one year of postulancy in Gniezno and one year of novitiate in Smardzewice, Poland.
The Minister Provincial, Friar Marian GOŁĄB, received Friar Krzysztof’s vows to live in obedience, chastity and without any property of his own. Friar Marian said the newly professed is a hero of the spiritual battle; he won the fight for his vocation, he fought against today’s world, and he guarded the treasure of his vocation. The Minister General also publicly thanked God for those persons who have heeded the call of the Risen Jesus, followed Him and are ready, through the consecration of vows, to fully adhere to Him and care for His kingdom with an undivided heart, in holiness of body and spirit.
Those attending the ceremony included relatives of Friar Krzysztof, his formators and his confreres from the postulancy and novitiate. The pastor from Friar Krzysztof’s hometown of Sanok, Poland, was also present together with the choir, the altar boys and the lectors with whom Friar Krzysztof was formed before he entered the Order.
