On September 2-6, 2019, the friars of the three communities of the Provincial Delegation in Chile of the Italian Province of St. Anthony of Padua (Northern Italy) gathered for their annual formation week at the Inmaculada Concepción Friary in Santiago, Chile.
In keeping with the Four-Year Plan of the Delegation entitled “Transforming Ourselves to Renew Ourselves”, the friars reflected on the different stages of life. They were led by Friar Nicola ZUIN (Province of Northern Italy) and the psychologist Rodolfo NÚÑEZ, an expert on issues concerning religious life. To develop various topics, they relied on carrying out Lectio Divina on the call of Moses, studying Franciscan texts and looking at the psychological approach to the goals at each stage of human life. The OFM Minister Provincial, Friar Isauro COVILI gave a very enlightening presentation the presence of the Order of Friars Minor in Chile, namely, its successes and the challenges it faces.
During the formation week, the friars celebrated the 25th anniversary of the simple profession of Friar Christian BORGHESI, some birthdays, the delivery of the tau to the postulant Benjamín CASTRO and the arrival of Friar Matteo MARTINELLI to the Delegation.
The friars of the Delegation in Chile thank God for the experience they have had and they thank Friar Nicola for his wonderful fraternal presence at this meeting.
