On June 2, 2021, friars with the General Secretariat for Formation (SGF) met online with the formators of the African Federation of Conventual Franciscans (AFCOF).
The event was organized and led by Friar Joseph KACHELEWA, an SGF member. Friar Piotr STANISŁAWCZYK the SGF Secretary General, gave a presentation on the mission and tasks of the Secretariat. Friar Maximilianus SEMBIRING, the SGF Vice-Secretary, discussed the work done so far on Franciscan Discipleship and on the Ratio Studiorum. Others participating included Friar Kazimierz CIEŚLIK, SGF member and Friar Anthony Bezo KUTIERO the Assistant General for the AFCOF Federation.
The purpose of the meeting was for the participants to get to know each other better. More than twenty formators took part. The mission of the Secretariat is to support formators in their service, in the hope of fostering and increasing mutual cooperation.
