On February 20-24, 2023, the postulants of the Provincial Delegation in Uganda participated in a five day workshop on various Franciscan topics. The Delegation belongs to the Province of St. Anthony and Bl. James of Strepar in Poland (Cracow).

The five-day workshop took place at the Wenanty Katarzyniec formation house in Kakooge, Uganda. It was led by the Secretary General for Formation, Friar Piotr STANISŁAWCZYK, assisted by Friar Maximilian SEMBIRING.
The program was divided into a theoretical section and a practical section. During the theoretical section, the postulants were able to learn more about the life, vocation, and spirituality of St. Francis of Assisi, as well as the times in which he lived. They also studied the origins of the Order. During the practical section, they learned about the important elements that constitute a good community and paid particular attention to the element of mutual communication. The postulants’ sincere involvement in the workshop and their great openness to each other made it clear how much they enjoyed the program.
In the end, the leaders blessed and distributed Tau crosses and miraculous medals among the postulants. The postulants reciprocated with small and modest gifts of their own. They also expressed their hope that their confreres from Rome might one day return to Uganda to teach another series of workshops.
