The 2022-23 Novitiate Begins
At noon on Friday, April 29, 2022, the rite of initiation was conducted for nine pre-novices entering the novitiate of the Province of St. Maximilian M. Kolbe in India. The ceremony took place in the chapel of the Assisi Shanthi Kendra in Karukutty, India. The Minister Provincial, Friar Bonaventure KALLUVETTUKUZHIYIL, presided. Each pre-novice was admitted to the novitiate and received a Tau cross. The Minister Provincial entrusted the new novices to the care of their Novice Master, Friar Francis Antony PARECKATTIL and their Assistant Novice Master, Friar Sijo NADACKAL.

Simple Professions
On Sunday, May 1, 2022, Novices Chintu PRADHAN, Sisir Kumar BEERO, Gopinath NAYAK, Sahid NAYAK and Rejish NAYAK made their simple profession during Mass presided over by the Minister Provincial, Friar Bonaventure KALLUVETTUKUZHIYIL. Friars Louis PANTHIRUVELIL and Francis Antony PARECKATTIL concelebrated.
On Thursday, May 12, 2022, Novice Jackson VATHUKKADAN made his simple profession during Mass, again presided over by the Minister Provincial. Friars Antony NALLUKUNNEL and Louis PANTHIRUVELIL concelebrated.

Solemn Professions
Also on May 12, 2022, Friars Albin AMBATTUPARAMBIL, Tijo VELLACHALIL, Jomins KUZHIKANNIYIL, Jibin THEKKINEN, Jithin THANUPARAMPIL and Victor PALLIPADAN made their solemn profession during Mass presided over by the Minister Provincial, Friar Bonaventure KALLUVETTUKUZHIYIL. Friars Antony NALLUKUNNEL and Louis PANTHIRUVELIL concelebrated. We congratulate our confreres and will always keep them in our prayers.

Assembly of the Solemnly Professed of the Province
An assembly of all the solemnly professed of the Province of India took place in two parts during May of 2022. The first part was held May 1-3, 2022, at the St. Joseph of Cupertino Ashram in Eluru, India. The second part took place May 12-14, 2022, at the Assisi Shanthi Kendra in Karukutty, India. The assembly featured meetings of the different Commissions, the Provincial Assembly with the Minister Provincial, common recreational activities and fraternal discussion. In addition, the Province also conducted a meeting of young priests, which was held May 15-17, 2022.
